8 Months!

WoW!  This was a super fast month!  She has daddy wrapped around her finger!  They are two peas in a pod and hilarious together! I love coming home on my bike and hearing them playing through the window.  I don't get to see her very much this semester because I'm taking 6 classes and my life is so crazy and it's hard but she melts my heart the few hours I do get to see her a day!

Adilynn is now 17 pds and 27 inches long.  She can get up on her arms and knees but doesn't move anywhere.  She just rocks back and forth.  She loves doing the worm and she moves backwards when she does it so that's as far as she goes with being mobile.  I know crawling is coming soon (tear...)  hopefully I'm home when she does for the first time!  She has the craziest smile and she pants like a dog when she makes the smile.  She  LOVES this baby doll her Aunt T got her and my Aunt Tami got her one of those blankets with a baby head and she has to sleep with it every night.  She sleeps with something on her face and she has to have something in her hand as she sucks her index finger.  She still fits in newborn shoes lol!  Here are some pics:

So Michael keeps saying all the time "I don't know where she gets this look from!"  (this is that crazy smile)

I'd say him :)

We are FINALLY getting her to hold her own bottle.  It's been 2 days but so far, she's doing a good job!

She LOVES to FaceTime!  We FaceTime almost everyday with Aunt Shanny!

She has fell in love with Dora!  There is a HILARIOUS video on my Facebook!  She FREAKS whenever that show is on and will watch the whole thing.  It cracks us up!

She has recently found her feet and is always eating them!

Seriously my favorite little girl!

I made her some little booties as well as a bapron and sleeper.

Happy 8 months Adilynn!!!!!

Addi is 7 months old!

Well this month was CRAZY!  Finals and family and traveling all in 2 weeks.  My parents came up Tues during the week of finals and we met them in Teton Village and had a blast driving around searching for animals!  Then we turned around and flew to Missouri for a week so Addi could meet some of daddy's family!

Addi has been such a trooper and loved it (well, most of it!)  Here are some pictures!

She didn't like snow!

Aunt Cass and her loved feeding time as you can see!

One of the CUTE outfits from Nana!

Addi really liked her Uncle Tom!

So much that she took a nap on him!

She LOVED the toy grandma got her!

Her gift from Grandpa.  LOVE!

On to Addi being 7 months old now....

Doesn't she just melt your heart?  I just love her so much!

Addi can now sit up on her own (when she wants to.)  She sits up a lot more when she has a couch to lean back up against when she gets tired.  She is seriously one of the happiest babies I've ever met!  She hated strangers until now.  I guess being around so much family she grew to be ok with them.  Now anyone who looks her way and smiles, she does to.  She says "ma-ma" all the time although she really doesn't know what she's saying, I LOVE hearing that sweet word.  She has developed so much more being around family than she had this whole month.  Maybe seeing other people around got her more comfortable with herself? No clue!  But she still can't roll from her back to her belly haha!  She gets up on her knees a lot now but just face plants in to the ground (she hasn't figured out how to hold her arms just yet.)  Oh and because so many people have waved bye to her, she now will wave bye!  It's so funny to watch her because when you start waving your hand, she'll stare at it and then move her hand like that then get all excited and look up and smile.  She still fits in newborn shoes but has upgraded to bigger socks than what we had.  Guess the shoes are just huge?!  I'm ok with that though because Nana bought her some super cute ones!

She also did wonderful on all 4 flights!  She slept most of them but thank heavens for baby mum-mums because that made her content when she was awake!

No idea on her weight and height but I will jump on that :)

Addi's First Easter!

This Easter was so much fun!  This was the first Easter that my parents had went without cooking a huge dinner.  Instead, we ate at Olive Garden on our way to hop on airplanes.  My family came to visit (post on that in a few) and we flew to Missouri to visit Michael's.

The cute Easter Dress nana bought her!  LOVE!!  She's ALWAYS sucking her index finger lol!

Her new smile when she thinks something is really funny!

Off to Missouri!

I still need to take a picture of all the gift from her Nana & Papa.  They got her cute outfits and a really nice bib!  This is what she got from her Missouri family!  Spoiled rotten baby!

6 months!

Adilynn is now 6 months old!  Can you believe it?  It completely flew by like every month before this!  I'll post pictures later.

Adilynn now grabs EVERYTHING!  She wants to touch it, eat it, suck on it, anything she can with it as it slowly makes it's way to her mouth.  She can now grab something with her left hand and her right hand can grab it from the left.  It's so funny to watch because I don't think she realizes she does it and she looks all confused when it happens.  She started rolling over a lot yesterday.  She did it 3 times in a row :)  Only from her belly to back though.  I'm ok with her taking her time because once she gets that down, crawling will be next and then walking and then mommy having to chase her everywhere.  So I hope she continues on her slow progress haha!  She loves to scream still.  Mainly when no one is paying her any attention.  She likes all eyes on her.  I love when I'm holding her and she now looks up at me and tries grabbing my nose or lips.  SO CUTE!  She is always grabbing our hands and holding them.  We got her an activity center and she loves to play in it!  She's such a sweet baby!  Her hair finally lays down now instead of having a mohawk ;)  Her favorite thing to do is take baths.  She gets so excited when we put her in there and lay her down on the bath tub and she flips out and kicks her legs and arms and water goes everywhere.  She'll look at you and then scream and go squirming all around.  It's HILARIOUS!  She is so very dramatic but I couldn't imagine her any different.  She still goes to bed around 8 and sleeps in until between 9 and 10.  WE LOVE THAT!  She is always talking or squirming or something.  She can not sit still for anything.  She loves to chew her clothes so her little belly is always hanging out when we put her in t-shirts.

Her weight is 14.5 pounds and 24.5 inches long.  Pictures soon!

Adilynn is 5 months old!

This post is a little late but better late than never right???  There is sooooooo much stuff Adilynn has started doing so where to begin?  Well she still absolutely LOVES baby einsteins and will stare at those movies ALL DAY LONG!  So that gives us a break to get things done!

Watching a movie with mom!

Bath time is her absolute FAVORITE time of the day!  There is a video on facebook of her excitement but she's just soo CUTE! She kicks her legs and just freaks!

She has always got her fingers in her mouth so it's prob a good thing she gets a daily bath :)  She's such a priss pot with those crossed legs!

She loves giving kisses <3

Time for church!

She was so sick this past week but still such a happy baby!

Always screaming about something!

This is her face she makes when daddy says "I'm gonna get your belly!"

They are so CUTE together!

Wearing her Juicy Couture outfit her cousins got her!

Chewing on her clothes like her Uncle Bubba use to do when he was little!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

Update on Adilynn:  She now weighs 14 pounds and 2 ounces and is 26 inches long!  She still loves her left index finger and goes to sleep with it in her mouth and usually just always has it in her mouth!  The other day I got so excited when I saw her chewing on her thumb but then she slipped her finger back in her mouth :(  Oh well it's still so cute!  She is always smiling and we'll hear her talking in the morning in her crib and we'll go check on her and she'll look up and just smile at us.  She can make any bad day of mine, awesome!  She hardly ever cries unless there is something she wants/needs.  She LOVES being the center of attention and she's always squealing about something!  She goes to bed between 7-8 and wakes up around 8-9 AM.  What a perfect baby (sleep wise) ;) She randomly rolls over but today she actually started purposely rolling over!  We had to go back in her room twice since she's a belly sleeper and she kept flipping on her back and couldn't go to sleep.  Silly baby!

I honestly couldn't picture my life without her and I don't know what Michael and I did before her.  She has seriously over-taken our lives but we wouldn't want it any other way.  Adilynn Louise is our hearts and we can't get enough of her dramatic little self!

Babies!

I always thought women were so crazy to forget about labor and how painful it was (especially the pregnancy part for me.)  Well 5 months later, now that Adilynn is so stinkin ADORABLE and seriously the funniest baby I've ever met, I want another one.  I guess after all that barfing, (bright side: I lost some weight) pain, being just plum miserable, losing sleep, etc, etc...  It was completely 100% totally worth it!  Just seeing her smile and watching her learn new things and grab my face and open her mouth wide to give me a slobbery kiss makes all of it so easy to go through.  I couldn't imagine my life without that sweet baby!  What a wonderful Spirit God blessed me with!  She's already taught me so much...  Ok ok I'm going to stop crying now.  I just wanted to let everyone know after all my "I'm NEVER doing this again", in a few years, I will be :)  And I'll probably say all that stuff all over again and eventually change my mind again haha!!  Crazy what we'll go through for a sweet, innocent baby.  It just better be a boy ;)

Adilynn's update coming this weekend!!!!!!

Graduation

Today I realized that in 6 months from now, I will be walking across BYU-I stage getting my diploma (hopefully with an internship lined up!)  I have a million people to be thankful for.  First off, my parents.  They have supported me through ALL of it!  I remember calling my dad crying because I failed my first test and him calming me and reassuring me everything was ok.  I called my mom on countless times with my "boy" problems and everything else you call your mama for.  They helped me with my finances and kept me out of debt thus far in my life.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I am speechless for all the many things they have done for me and I will never be able to repay them for everything.  I hope I can do the same for my baby(ies).

Secondly, my sweet, sweet husband who has been a trooper through all of this.  I have wanted to give up so many times and he always tells me that he will never not let me reach my dreams. Especially graduating from college.  I owe him big time for this!  I'm so thankful for him being a Mr. Mom and taking caring of Adilynn so I can reach my goal.  It means the world to me!  He is my reason to smile and I love going home to the two of them everyday.  Those two are now my motivation.  I want my baby to be proud of me!

I had 3 major dreams that I didn't want to leave this earth without fulfilling.  Getting a degree from BYU-I, getting married in the Temple and starting a family.  It seems surreal that in 6 months they will have all come true.  I owe so much to my Heavenly Father who has helped me so much!  Especially through my deathly ill pregnancy.  Needless to say, thank you to all my supporters who have always encouraged me and reassured me that everything was going to me ok.  "Worry is a lack of faith."  I truly believe that statement because 1. everything happens for a reason and 2. it will all work out how it needs to.  So have faith :)  Dreams come true!  Parents know what they are talking about!  And love as much as you can.  And the most important thing I've learned...  make time for the important things, everyone has a "busy" life but you only have one family and one memory that will stay with you for a lifetime.  So make time for those memories  Because in the end... we all die.  Make the best of what you have and make time for the people you love!

And Daddy thank you for writing me a letter many years ago and telling me to shoot for the moon and if I don't make it, at least I'll land in the stars.  It's a constant reminder that hard work pays off and nothing that's worth something is easy.

I LOVE YOU MOMMY AND DADDY AND MICHAEL AND ADILYNN =)  And everyone of my supporters!!  I couldn't have done this without any of you!
